NP, stats are relevant as standard for how polished common app and essays will need to be will differ if chasing top schools versus a state school that is stats driven.

But OP didn't say what kind of schools they are looking at. A weighted GPA of a 3.8 is likely not a high stats school. OP did not need to add stats except for herself.

My kid has drafted all of the common app and has a draft of common app essay. But planning on applying to large number of schools so will have tons of support to write.

OP, starting 8/1 he can start filling out the persona info in his common app and he can start writing the descriptions of his activities and EC’s.

DC, 3.5W, 1200 Sat has done the following.

Studying via khan academy 2x a week, retaking Aug SAT but may go test optional.

Started outlining main common app essay. Will try to finish before school starts mid-August.

Is doing a common app essay”course” (4 hours) put on by their school in early August.

Is relaxing w friends and taking 1 sort art class in August. Gearing up for a busy fall.

Is visiting 1 school Labor Day weekend that tracks demonstrated interest. Has seen some schools, especially w older sibling, but will save other school visits after acceptances in the spring.

Well he could do that now, those sections carry over from year to year, only the essays don’t. But he doesn’t *have* to be doing it now, it’s fine.
