Car Seat Safety Question

So I think you could charge $50 regardless of the car seat type or style. That being said I can’t imagine anyone paying for “information” that’s readily available for free on the internet. So I really think you would only be able to charge for installation. Also, I think you could make a lot if you offered rentals of ride safe vest things that people are always asking to borrow in parenting groups.

Agree you could only charge rich people (the kind who pay people to teach their kids to ride a bike) and only for the actual installs. I have friends whose high earning husbands definitely can’t be bothered to learn to properly install a car seat and would gladly pay to not need to do it.

Can you come to my house and clean my kids’ car seats? I would pay for that service! 😂

DP here. It's pretty easy. Remove the seat then remove the cover and put it in the washing machine on gentle and let it air dry. Then put the cover back on and reinstall the seat. The hardest part is going without the seat for a day or two, which isn't that bad if you have a second car with seats.

Oh I’ve done it. We have to video how we take it apart to figure out how to get it back on. Now we only do it if there’s a major incident. I’d seriously pay someone to do it for us!

Our county offers this for free. At least to lower income people.

This, just wipe the shell with a bit of soap and water. Put by a dehumidifier to dry quicker.

+1. If you’re not certified, you’re a scam artist who’s looking to lose their life savings in a lawsuit. And if you were certified, you wouldn’t trying to monetize car seat safety.
