A SB degree in engineering, which everyone agrees she has, is sufficient to be an engineer.

Of course, a PE is a different animal; one must be licensed as a PE to call oneself a PE. Most engineers work in industry so do jot need to be a PE.

That’s definitely not true. Some fields (like civil engineering) it may matter a lot to be a PE, but it is exceedingly rare for an aerospace engineer to be a PE.
