If you want to pay it for them put some money in their bank account

We need debit cards because our consulate in DC only accepts debit cards, for any transaction (passport and identity card renewal, etc ). Also our home country is very big on debit cards, and has trouble with a lot of American credit cards.

does he need a checking account, credit card, etc? I think he needs checking if he wants to pay a credit card. seems like a lot to manage.

3 accounts here:

Account 1) for basic monthly necessities
Account 2) for purchases and trips in the US, clothes, drinks, bar tabs, etc.
Account 3) for international travel. My kids is a UCSD and their friends are from all over Central America.
