Oh come on now. She’s running for county council and using board resources to do it. Pretty shameless |
Gosh you all are dense. She’s running for county council and issuing her board position to campaign. In other words, she is using MCPS to run her campaign |
The deep state (county?) and the educational industrial complex. It’s a riddle, wrapped in a puzzle, and contained within an enigma |
How is restructuring the board meeting agendas a campaign for county council? |
Shutting down negative public comments. |
By still having public comments at each meeting? |
Do you have a link to the guidelines they are supposed to be following? |
Am I reading it correctly that they have not provided any follow-up information this calendar year thus far? |
I see followups in January and February 2025. |
But only ONE of the two meetings a month will have any ACTIONS. You can talk all you want at the second meeting, but no actions will be taken and you won’t have any idea what actions will be taken at the next meeting. |
They haven’t posted all the follow-ups, No. That doesn’t mean none has been provided. |
There wasn’t action necessarily taken at any of the meetings before. They heard the public comment, noted some things, maybe asked for some data or followup, and then moved forward with whatever presentations and resolutions/approvals as planned. The Old Business section was never really reviewed. If done right, this might actually be improvement, because old business and follow-ups might be addressed timely and with transparency. |
Since when are public comments only about actions that may be taken at that day's meeting? Every meeting lately has had lots of comments about the boundary study or the grading policy, and there haven't been any board actions. |
You missed a lot. There were many Action items at each business meeting. You just weren’t paying attention. The Resolutions are labeled clearly as ACTION. |
