| There are too many uncertainties with EVs to own one unless you buy it used and don’t mind if it only has a total of 8-10 years of use. We have a Tesla that we love, but we lease it. I have friends who own, but trade theirs when the batter charge starts degrading (these are friends who have plenty of money to throw away). |
Leasing is probably costing more than trading in a car after 8-10 years. |
I have twelve antique vehicles (1960’s) that still run like a well oiled machine. An antique car is any car manufactured in 1975 or earlier (older than 45 years old). Sure, they’re not daily drivers but they’re all running and do not burn oil. |
Buy a turbo AUDI . I doubt you will get 8-10 years of 20k miles/year. |
Umm, no they don't. Stop making things up. I've never had a car engine fail at 8-10 years and my current engine is well over 20 years old and fine. |

EVs don't fail at 8-10 years-- that is just misinformed FUD about new technology.
Look at Tesla-- the model S, X and 3 were all introduced 8-13 years ago and there hasn't been any news stories about Tesla owners having to junk the cars they bought. |

Battery degradation after 200K miles is 15%. Not bad. https://insideevs.com/news/723734/tesla-model-3y-battery-capacity-degradation-200000miles/ |
