Dating profile photos help!

There is a good photographer in Alexandria who specializes in photos for dating sites.

Frankly, selfies always look low-effort and terrible.

The eternal complaint is “I’m attracting the WRONG kind of men, waah!”

OP here and thank you all for your suggestions. I met a friend for lunch today and I realized when we were in a cosmetics store where they did my eye makeup that this was a great opportunity for new photos. I'm really happy with the pics my friend took. I was wearing a great summer dress, I'm tan and the light was perfect. It's a start! Now I just need a couple more and I'll think about activating my profile....Loved the Bumble thread, btw. It was pretty amusing. Cheers!

Easier to control is her rational after some bad experiences. So college bars. Sometimes hotel bars. She never sees them again.

Sorry but she’s going to end up in a ditch one day.

So these dry menopausal 50+ year olds are trolling college bars? Yuck

I still remember when the perv in our group house (we were 24) got dropped off the next morning by an older woman with car seats on a minivan. We were all horrified.

I think it would make someone feel older not younger, especially 50+ year olds with sunspots and some crepey legs ….with a young person. Like that scene in SATC where Samantha catches a glimpse of the old man @ss in the bedroom mirror.

I don't trust anyone to take my photos because most people suck. Then again I am probably not photogenic. Anyway I concur with the consensus that a professional photographer route is the way to go. The key is to capture you in a manner to creates the impression that you're in your element (think being photographed during a a social event)and not posing for a photoshoot. Good luck OP.

If you tell your friends you need pics for your OLd profile, most of her would be happy to help. And they probably know exactly who in your friend group can take the best pics.

Sorry, most of "them" autocorrect fail.

Use google draw or something to indicate who you are with an arrow etc. or use the caption (“like my silly hat?”)

Not a good idea for women.

What kind of full body photo showing her figure? Like a beach shot in bathing suit? Or is that too much?

People do that but it’s not necessary.

A few nice smiling doing things you enjoy will work great. Men don’t care if you do one “behind the wheel” selfie either, but you do need to include at least one that shows your figure (unlesss you don’t want to do that and everyone will know why).

That advice sounds creepy and more than a little rapey.

You sound more than a little stupid. I bet you're fat.
