When does school stop being fun?

I’ve always loved school and now hate jobs where I’m not learning anything new.

I don’t think it’s inevitable. That’s not to say I haven’t had some truly awful teachers or mean kids, but thanks to a great elementary experience, I knew these were outliers and that helped me deal.

My older DD is entering 7th and still generally likes school (a class or teacher here and there might be less good). My younger DD is entering 3rd and has struggled the whole time. I’m not sure she hates school, but she doesn’t like it. She is super into reading and writing stories but has trouble socially and even at recess is often alone making up stories.
