We are in the middle of figuring out how to finance an addition that will double our square footage.
Im planning to borrow to get the total secured by the house up to 750k then pay cash for about 25-30% of the cost and then borrow the rest on a liquidity access line secured by investments and set that on a 5-10yr amortization and liquidate stock or pay out of cash flow for that. The LAL has a rate competitive with, if not slightly lower than, home equity/HELOC. |
