Travel to NY for Thanksgiving

Cross into DE, and make a right onto Route 4/DE 896 heading towards the University of Delaware. At the next intersection, make a right onto DE 896 and head back to I-95. This route may take you a few miles out of the way, but saves a TON of time. We very rarely pay the tolls these days. Google Map Newark, DE to see the workaround.

And in Newark, you pass several places to eat, including a McDonalds, a Friendly's and a Dunkin Donuts, if you need to stretch.

Awesome, thank you!!!

NYU<->Leesburg driver:

Since you're already far northwest of DC, I'd suggest you skip the I-95/NJT mess and use US-15/I-81/I-78 instead. We do that all the time from Arlington -- the worst part is getting to Frederick on I-270, which you wouldn't need to worry about.

We took this route a few years back and it worked really well. This year, we're going up on Friday and might go that way again. Travel safely, all!
