Hi, I'm the OP. My spouse is picking up dinner from Whole Foods - salads. But wow, has this thread ever been eye-opening. I came here to just vent anonymously to some fellow parents who might get it. What a bizarre, strange, sour string of replies that reveal way too much about the animosity and sadness that people can harbor deep within and channel toward a stranger.

There is no way I believe you and your husband are feeding two growing boys just salads for dinner.

Holy forking shirtballs.
THIS is the bad place.

I guess I can see feeling a little different than being sick from a stomach virus, in the sense that you hose to take this medicine, and hopefully were aware that this might be a potential side effect and you might be wondering how long you will feel this bad. But hopefully before you decided to start it you talked to your spouse and he was on board? If it ends up incapacitating you, obviously you will have to go off it but I assume this is something you are doing at the advice of your doctor for health reasons, so hopefully it ends up being worth it.

You are on meds for something you did to yourself, and now the meds are making you sick. But so, what? Does your DH ever do the same thing you're doing today?
Of course, if you are faking it, then that is wrong.

You're only issue is that you think you're a bad mom! When the plane is going down, put on your own oxygen mask first. Look after yourself first and the family will be happier and healthier.

Anonymous wrote:I feel sick - I have horrible PMS cramps, just started Zepbound and am suffering GI issues, and got no sleep last night (see prior GI issues). I logged out of work at 3, texted DH at work, asked him to pick up kids from school, and went to bed. DH is now out taking our son to baseball practice and picking up dinner while younger kid zones out on iPad. I feel lazy and bad. Are women just conditioned toward self-reproach? I feel sick yet even worse, I feel guilty.

I don't know, I'm a woman and I have done the same thing you did and I didn't feel guilty. Sometimes we don't feel great, sometimes our spouses don't feel great, sometimes our kids don't feel great. I have no problem picking up the slack for others when they need it and in turn they do it for me.

Sidenote, I started Zepbound 18 months ago and have lost 85 pounds and am so happy. I have maybe 5 more to go but I don't care if I never do because it's such a big change from where I started anyway. Good luck with it!

Op, ignore this poster. They’re probably eating greasy takeout while typing this. Remember anyone can say anything they want on an anonymous forum.

As can the OP. It wasn't until she got slammed for being fat and her husband was picking up dinner that she added that he was getting salads. As if we believe this.
