Absolutely. And it’s getting worse and worse. The college administrators have blood on their hands between this and the beautiful young diplomatic couple murdered.

So in a period of less than 2 months, individuals openly claiming to be motivated by the “free Palestine” movement have:

- Tried to burn down the home of the Jewish Pennsylvania Governor with his family inside.

- Executed a couple leaving a Jewish museum in DC

- Thrown Molotov cocktails at elderly Jewish people advocating to free hostages in Colorado.

The intifada is already here. The people who tried to downplay this threat should be ashamed.

i would downplay it at all. if I was out with clearly Jewish organization I would be worried, and probably would not participate.

But we should be clear about the cause. It is not Oct 7. It started long before that with Israeli stealing Palestinian land and terrorizing innocent children.

Shame on you. The only response to this terrorist attack is to point fingers at the killer, not to justify his terror.

Is 19:46 saying if the hostages were released the aid could flow freely into Gaza and Israel would stop lethal actions on civilians looking for alleged Hamas people?

Awful, but you really don't want to know what zionists are doing to the Palestinians. On a considerably larger, and systemic scale.

And yet, these people are not members of the IDF.

And not everyone in Palestine is Hamas.

This is truly horrific. All the violence against Jews and Palestinians is heartbreaking.

Agree that this is horrific and evil. Very, very sad.

I also feel this, and probably thousands more incidents like this to come, are the inevitable outcome of what has happened in Gaza.

Nothing is going to end well.

All violence is heartbreaking, but some violence *should* be more heartbreaking than others.

What did those people in Colorado have to do with any of this?

Just to be clear, youre saying they deserved it as a sort of settling of the score?

Jeff. How can you delete random right-wing comments but allow actual threats of violence to stand?

This isn't a threat. PP isn't saying they're going to harm anyone. They're (rightly) pointing out that violence and theft beget violence and theft.

Leaving people in peace is peaceful. Not doing that should leave you concerned about retribution. Applies to everyone everywhere.

You cannot possibly believe that comment was just an observation. It was a clear threat that anyone who believes in a Jewish homeland should live in fear.

Ironic considering that Jews living in fear is the entire reason Zionism began as a political movement to begin with. Violence against diaspora Jews just strengthens the case for Israel as a Jewish state. I am a Zionist and love Israel, but even I have observed that the only thing could possibly end Israel as a majority Jewish state is a couple generations of peace and acceptance with its neighbors--that includes not just Palestinians but the broader pan-arab world--who have very much played a role in getting us to the current moment. But that's not a very satisfying intifada.

What Hamas is doing, using Palestinians as a shield, is a literal war crime. And youre defending them and blaming the Israelis for it.

Question for you: do you think Isreal has the right to exist? Because what this is really about is that you guys want to exterminate Jews so youre pretending there is a genocide as a pretense for committing genocide against Jews. Whatever those kids and grandmas were doing today, it wasnt hurting any Palestinians. And yet the leftists on this thread celebrate it.

DP. I don’t get why when I say “the starvation of children in Gaza is inhumane,” people like you translate it to mean that I don’t want Israel to have a state. WTAF.

I can want Israel to exist and to also want them to stop bombing Gaza and stop illegal settlements in the West Bank. I can blame Netanyahu as a disgrace for prioritizing his political career over the hostages. I can celebrate them killing Sinwar but think it was cruel to kill thousands of children for that victory (rather than being ya know, strategic).

Me expressing empathy for Palestinians is not a threat to your existence. I can be against antisemitism AND Islamophobia. I understand the generational trauma, but many nationalities suffer from it.

Of course not, but you can’t have it both ways. That’s what you’re saying. Do you believe it’s justified to starve children because of the terrorists who run the country?

All violence is terrible. As many horrors inflicted on Jews has been inflicted on innocent Palestinians make no mistake. In all cases, violence should be condemned. But to use this as a reason to downplay atrocities v Palestinians is also unacceptable. All innocent lives impacted by this ME war is a tragedy.

So, this is more heartbreaking than starving children to death?

The people in Colorado didnt starve anyone. You guys have completely jumped the shark.

You can argue it but it would be a stupid argument. What do you think is more likely to cause people to turn to violence:

1) An address at a college commencement calling for an end to genocide; or

2) The actual genocide?

In fact, it could be argued that by outlawing or otherwise making peaceful protest impossible, the current climate is making violent protest more likely.

You might have a point - if we heard condemnation from the college protest leaders about the violence against innocent Jews we have seen in recent months. But there has been silence from them. I would bet that some are secretly celebrating the deaths of the two young people in DC and the injuries suffered in today’s attack.

I’m sure you’ll correct me if I’m wrong.

Why are you talking about people in another country when we have just had a terrorist injure Americans on our soil?!
