The dumb thing is if they looked harder they could find another widower who actually wants to remarry. Someone who had a great first marriage and who is lonely. Clearly there would be a line of woman or if they got a gay bachelor similarly situated who wanted to remarry and again there would be a line of actually people who are looking for a partner. This would be a compelling show. Sort of like Trista and Ryan-she was looking for real love and so was he and they are married 20 years later. If this golden bachelor goes trashy people will turn off.

I doubt he'll survive the storm in the wake of his no-one-over-60-and-I'd-prefer-45-or-so comments. The show will dump him and find a new bachelor if they haven't started filming yet, which I don't think they have. The target audience is older women, who will not want to watch after hearing this. No sense in even bothering to film with him.

Agree. He is not the guy. somewhere out there is a lonely older person who would be thrilled to be golden bachelor and love finding another chance at real love.

She also has to be fit, as he is and was assured by producers that the women will of course be nice looking. His response to the age limits was because he is on The Golden Bachelor not the Silver Bachelor
