And they’re stuck in the toilet...all of them...and they all have diarrhea...and the latch is broke

As bad as this is for feds, 2009 was worse for the private sector especially in certain industries. And then with covid, many other industries especially service ones either had to close or had to operate with a lot of exposure to covid.

Fair take.

I bet 99% of Americans have no idea what’s happening to Feds. Anytime someone asks me how I am- I breezily say, well I’m a Fed, things aren’t great. And most people have zero idea what I’m talking about. I don’t think it’s in the major news that feds are being fired. No one is talking about the cuts to research or academia. Feds only know about it because we’re looking for it.

It’s like people who say “social security has gotten so expensive, we need to rein in the fraud.” Except it’s so expensive because people are living longer. It’s very easy to say federal government has gotten so big, while ignoring that our population has risen too.

Oh and plenty of feds wanted changes. I’d love to be able to move between jobs and offices easier, they make it a slow miserable process. I’d love to get rid of poor performers easier. We need programs to be cut, not just people. How can we have the same amount of programs being worked on but 40% less people?? And 30% less money.

You don't need a dumb analogy.

Trump = con artist
Voters = morons
Federal Employees = civilization being destroyed.

To say it was annoying to watch them have extended vacations year after year is an understatement.

It's obviously stupid for anyone in this area to be against government, but generally most people have seen the government have many fewer employment issues to deal with than the private sector. In rural areas some jobs have completely dried up. Their analogy is that the rich ignore and make fun of the workers that make them stuff to use.

Race to the bottom, dipshit
