That's a loose interpretation of halal. https://halalfoundation.org/are-kosher-and-halal-food-the-same-can-muslims-eat-kosher/#:~:text=No%2C%20kosher%20is%20not%20automatically,food%20can%20be%20considered%20halal. |
I'm sure the cow is really concerned with which chant is invoked before having its head lopped off. What a load of crap.... |
Well I'm sure the cows are concerned with how they are treated before slaughter. And that is very much an important part of the meat being halal. |
Am guessing everyone has their own interpretation. |
Yes. Same laws handed down. |
The consensus is almost unanimous in allowing kosher meat as okay for Muslims to eat. This is directly in the Qur'an (5:5) where it states that the food of people of the book is lawful. The arabic verse uses a form of the word "halal", which is translated as lawful. |
🍑 and peanuts? |
nope- kosher meat is halal, halal meat is not kosher. The first person got it right. Both halal and kosher require that the cut be swift and the animal be bled dry, muslims believe that Jews believe in the God of Abraham so their "chant" is sufficient for muslims. jews do NOT believe that all or most Muslims are eligible to worship the God of Abraham (only the Arabs, descended from Ishmael, Midian or the other descendants of Abraham who are the cast offs of God who never favored them with guidance or prophets as he did Jacob's children) also the rules of kosher are much stricter than halal rules. islam is in many ways Judaim 2.0 |
I’m Christian and I’ve always been curious about this since Jewish people I’ve spent time with seem to like the halal restaurants around NoVa. |
One is blessed by a Rabbi. The other is blessedby an Imam. If you think those two are the same, you are fine. |
They won't have pork in the kitchens and the food is tasty. |
