For 2024 and 2025 UNHOOKED ivy acceptances...only if personal knowledge from your own family

If you look at data-3.9 is the uw average. Many schools report weighted averages in their data. Ivies report uw. So the majority have 4.0 uw.

At time of application 3 final semester grades of B, then a 4th one on the mid-term report. These were in the same subject area.

Overal WGPA 4.8+

This is a completely useless thread. OP, no ivy cares about straight As. Do some research or talk to a college counselor. Figure out how to package your kid. If you haven't been thinking about this since Freshman year, it could be too late.

Being surrounded by a group of packaged students is why the Ivy experience has lost its luster.

Not at our HS.

The OP posting here is clueless.
My kid is at an Ivy with a 3.8 uw senior high school GPA. Private HS. Unique ECs tied to major.

LOL

Everyone is just making fun of OP and posting gobbledock.

Who cares? There’s a world of opportunity outside the Ivies. Open your mind and your kid’s mind to other options. Yes, have your kid do their best but just know that there’s not a whole lot most people can do to move the needle on Ivy admissions. If there’s an Ivy acceptance, great and congrats. The luster or glow from that acceptance (or any other elite school school acceptance) will wear off after a few weeks and your kid will be doing and dealing with the same things as most kids going to a T100 to T-150. Moving into a dorm, dealing with a roommate, registering for classes, and figuring out college in general.

2 B’s, both in Spanish. 35 ACT, 12 APs, massive EC involvement, and very well liked in her school. While she had great stats, I personally believe it was her character/intangible qualities that got her into many great colleges.

Look at the Harvard lawsuit admission's data. Grades do count as you wanted to be at a minimum in slot number 2 for academics.

You don't have to guess and rely on liars on the internet who troll.

The Harvard lawsuit data tells you a lot about what is expected of an unhooked applicant.

Thanks - AB or BC Calc?

Another unhooked 2024 Ivy with a B in Calc BC

My 3.85uw private HS kid got into a T10, test-optional with only Calc AB senior year.

Think you need to figure out what you are really asking: it's not about the scores, grades, and level of Calculus.

What’s useless is a non responsive response.

The “answers” prove that many people cannot help themselves but to say something - on an anonymous forum - even if it was not asked of them. These people appear even more ridiculous bc they would not be giving this same (unhelpful, non responsive, and judgmental) input in person. They are doing it bc that is who they are not bc they are making a farce out of the post.
