It’s 5% you POS but you knew that already.

Not according to Hillel. But I do applaud the POS line. Ad hominem name calling attacks always convince the other person of your righteousness even in the face of contrary facts.

Post your CUAD membership number, pls.

You assume too much. There was nothing anti-Israel or antisemitic in my post. I in fact do not think universities should divest. Nor should they capitulate to student pressure to do so.

I was pointing that the PP resorted to juvenile, ad hominem attacks when presented with facts that didn’t support their claim, and was calling them out on it. You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

One side has been vilified as “terrorists” and attacked for decades, often subject to unimaginable abuses in a world where the U.S. interferes in foreign affairs far too often.

The other side demands to be coddled, wants to criminalize the act of loudly banging on a library door, and is enthusiastic seeing individuals deprived of their constitutional rights and their liberty if they dare to say mean things about Israel.

None of that is “clear.” And the discussion is about what is happening at Harvard & it’s very obvious that you didn’t bother to read either report.

Crimson reported 5.3% of incoming 2023 freshman identified as Jewish. The Hillel 25% number is clearly outdated and they’ve been quoted elsewhere as saying so but for the sake of clarity they should clean this up.

Being on campus at Visitas there is zero chance that 1 in 4 incoming students are Jewish. Not a chance.

Well, these reports appear to make it pretty clear that Palestinians / Arabs / Muslims were the only ones actually facing physical attacks and threats, doxxing, etc.

FALSE

Oh I must have missed all the Jewish kids blocking Muslims students’ access to classes, screaming “death to Arabs,” “Muslims don’t deserve to live,” “Muslim-free campus” and ripping down pictures of Muslim baby hostages.

The hate and savagery only comes from one side on these college campuses, and it sure as hell doesn’t come from the Jewish kids.

There has been some violence from Orthodox Jews. But mostly it was greatly exaggerated and the pro-Hamas lies were disgusting. Not one sign or chant was pro-Hamas.

Netanyahu is a war criminal no better than Putin. Both have the same goal of stealing land. I think that Trump in his delusional mind actually thinks a Trumpland resort will replace Palestine and his antisemitism and pro-Hamas exaggerations will help him obtain his goals.

I would imagine the Hillel number is correct vs Crimson. Who declares their religion to a school newspaper? Hillel can count who shows up for high holiday events. Plus an even larger portion of the faculty and staff is Jewish.

Yes, it is clear.

The essence of the “anti-semitism” report were yowling claims that protesting against Israel upset Jewish students on campus.

And that’s consistent with the assault on constitutional rights in the U.S. that we’re watching unfold right now, driven by radical, extremist foreign state actors like AIPAC, Betar, sand Canary Mission.

+1 Besides, the Crimson number is "incoming freshmen" but the graduate school numbers are much much higher, which explains some part of the discrepancy.

Look, I don't doubt that some Jewish students are made uncomfortable by overt and perceived antiSemitism, but some of these kids have also been brainwashed into viewing literally any indication that Palestinians might be human beings as antiSemitic.

But actual physical violence? Actual suppression of freedom of speech? Actual harassment by state authorities? Kidnapping? Illegal detention? All of that is happening to Arab American students, and it is being done in the name of Jewish American students. This is bad for everyone, and I'd argue particularly for American Jews, who are being made into scapegoats for the the dismantling of our constitutional democracy.

Read the report. The above is so warped and dismissive of the actual documented cases of violations of the rights of Jewish and Israeli students on campus. 300 pages of examples. Students spit on, harassed while trying to get to class, openly criticized by their professors for their religion and/or country of origin. Non-Jews isolated by peers for associating with Jews and Israelis.

Thankfully, none of you are in charge at Harvard.

Oh please the ADF sent buses to January 6th.

As a Jew I am completely disgusted with Chabad, Lubbies, Hasids and Orthodox. They voted for the destruction of the Jews. They voted for Trump. My family died in the Holocaust shame on every single one of those cult members. No one should support violence against anyone.

Do not mistake this post for the support of Palestinian students that protest about "genocide" but the cult Jews are no better. For me my so called own to support Trump hell no.

Well, “as a Jew”, I said nothing of cult Jews or experiences of Palestinians on campus. There are no examples of actual violence against Hamasnicks in the report but you seem to have the inside scoop on them so pls do share. Of course, your dismissal of documented Jewish experiences and attack on Chabad of all places gives you street cred with the “not in my name” crowd.

Wtf does Jan 6 have to do with Harvard’s campus right now? Can we please stay on topic?

DP

You’re simply not a serious person worth engaging with over this topic if you think the average Israeli or Jewish experience in America, and on college campuses, is not vastly less hostile, not orders of magnitude more privileged and safer, than the average Arab or Muslim experience.

You’re simply not worth more than a passing lol …

The data says the opposite but we agree on one thing. You’re simply not a serious person worth engaging with.

When did Americans become so invested in foreign events? The fact that these two reports even exist is proof that foreign interference has corrupted American culture. This is a non-issue on both sides, demanding the other is eliminated, and it’s very very embarrassing
