| Go to Princeton and fund his future startup with $10k cash and let him build a business - or spend the summers in Silicon Valley -- free is free- congrats!!! amazing options but I bet kid will be happy at Princeton - ignore PP who is talking about making another kid happy getting off waitlist at Princeton - make a mom happy with $100k less in student loans! duh |
| Even if the costs were equal I’d pick Princeton, considerably better academic experience for undergraduates |
| Let your dc pick |
|
Does DC know what difference coming up with $40 k or more every year counting airfare and cost of living will mean to his family?
Does he care Free ride at Princeton. |
Agree with this *unless* grandparents are paying the full ride plus the travel for all four years to/from school. If they are willing to fully help then I say let DC chase their dreams. If they can only offer partial help, which is very generous of them, I’d pick Princeton for FREE without hesitation and let DC set sights on Stanford for grad school. Free Princeton is a GIFT, don’t pass that up. |
| This is the same troll who made up another thread like this last week. |

OP most parents in here would be sobbing in disbelief and joy if their kid got a free ride to Princeton. You really hit the lottery. Don't be stupid. Send your kid to Princeton and just give him the saved cash after he graduates.
There's absolutely no tech company that won't take a Princeton CS grad seriously. If he wants a FAANG opportunity, he will certainly have that coming out of Princeton. |
| There's a guy named Bezos who went to Princeton and did OK in tech. As did Eric Schmidt. |
| Absolute troll post. No one is giving up a free ride to Princeton |
With that income Stanford offers a full ride. https://admission.stanford.edu/pdf/FA-Preview.pdf |
