I get being embarrassed to have one, and realize a reluctance or difficulty to trade it in. But, this seems kind of tacky and a stretch too far.

Thoughts?

Probably worried they’re going to be attacked or their car vandalized.

Attacked by who?

Trump supporters? White nationalists? Racists? Criminals? Who exactly?

Who is vandalizing all these Teslas?

I have no problem with Tesla sedans. So many people bought them because they were affordable and environmentally friendly.

I would never judge a Tesla-owner unless I happened to know that they bought recently.

Cybertrucks are another story. They're not very functional, and they're downright dangerous for pedestrians and other small fry in collisions because Cybertrucks are angular and made of stainless steel, with a much smaller front safety bumper than other trucks. It's a people-killer. The EU has banned it for safety reasons.

I am a government worker at a targeted agency. As much as I dislike Elon, I love my Tesla. I have put stickers over the emblems. I do realize that it does not hide the fact that's its a Tesla, but it is the only practical way I can protest without trading in the car and losing money.

Understand that when (not “if”) your car is vandalized, it will be by someone you consider an ally. You vote for the same people, you believe the same things, you are two of a kind.

That’s who will be keying your car or setting it on fire. Someone just like you.

How so? Trust them to fo what? We’re talking about Teslas here.

They don’t trust fellow democrats not to vandalize their cars.

Please try and keep up.

You think a bumper sticker is going to keep an angry Musk-hater from keying your car again?

Hilarious!!!!!!

The very first time I saw a cybertruck, I thought it was a trash dumpster.

No. Someone who destroys property and puts others in danger is a total nutjob no matter what political side they are on. Someone like that is not, "just like me." I live near the Arlington Tesla dealership and see the peaceful protesters there every day, I support that type of protest not firebombs and destruction.

Yes, who is doing all this vandalism? It’s fascinating to me how that element just gets totally left out of the conversation. As if it’s some giant mystery who are the type of people that are doing this stuff, and what they all seem to have in common. We’re all just breaking our necks trying to look away from the obvious right in front of us.

This was happening way before the vandalism. Photos of rebadged Teslas have been circulating for years. This was posted on Reddit three years ago and may. It have been new then.

Democrats are vandalizing Teslas, (usually) owned by other Democrats.

They don’t care if the owner of the Tesla is someone just like them - a liberal progressive d-bag - they’re so consumed by hate for Trump and Musk that they don’t care it belongs to another dem.

I think the entire thing is comical!

just put some pride flags on it or some harris stickers

and if you really wanna piss of Elon and Trumpers put a trans flag on it
