What percent of your wardrobe do you regularly wear?

I love the Stylebook recommendation. Sometimes, you don’t remember what you have if there’s a lot of clothing. I organize between athletic/workout gear, casual warm and cold weather clothing, work clothing, going out events/black tie type wear. I realize I have more than enough event type wear since that’s more fun to shop. Hence, seeming like I don’t utilize my closet as much. Also, having too much clothing that requires dry cleaning/special care that makes me it less often.

Uh no. This would depress me.

I can't even imagine a need for 3 sizes. Even in pregnancy I only needed stretchy pants for the last 2 weeks.

For some people, small changes in weight really affect fit.

I have two closets and a lot of clothes. At last count, I had about 60 dresses. I wear about 40% of my clothes. The rest are there for reasons unclear. I purge about twice a year.

Since we are immigrants with different cultural clothing from our country of origin, and since we have a large social circle - we have regular American wardrobe and our own cultural specific quite extensive wardrobe.

We are continually buying clothes for events we attend.

I wear ~70% of my wardrobe regularly. But I also curate it a lot. I do have shoes that I don’t wear regularly.

I’m 5’1 so I understand that even 5 lbs makes a huge difference. But having fat, regular, skinny clothes is crazy. Adults should be able to maintain their size to not be veering from skinny to fat year to year.

The 98% poster is my inspiration! I wish I knew you in real life. I grew up around malls and constant shopping. But am trying to be more minimalist now. My closet is not bursting with clothes, but I still wear the same items every day. I’m going to see if I can pare down even further.

This doesn't inspire me at all. Imagine if someone said they ate 98% of the same thing day to day, or even week to week. I'd rather die than have that diet. Some people are into uniform dressing, but not me.

1%

I work from home and live in my gym clothes. I wear real clothes about three times a month.

How come you can't re-wear clothes you already own?

I've been ruthlessly consigning clothes for the past year or so. I think I'm now getting close to 60% on clothes and starting in on getting rid of designer handbags and shoes.

I have a visible job, so there are a lot of clips of me online speaking or photographs. I need to keep some amount of rotation to avoid appearing as if I only own one outfit.
