humanities options at "stem" schools

It didn't work for ANY of the top humanities kids who applied to MIT this year from our private.

Many private school kids accepted to schools like jhu for humanities are also recruited athletes... (from our private)

He's not an athlete and is worried about getting boxed out socially at SLACs

Wondering if a place like JHU, might be interesting. They have strong humanities programs that can be overshadowed by their stronger STEM programs. But now, with cuts? Maybe they'll be looking for full (ish) pay humanities kids?

Kids is a good but not top student at a very good private in nyc. 3.8 GPA. Good leadership, deep interests with some awards


Seriously consider U of Rochester. Very much a STEM/engineering school, but at least 30%+ of the students are not. It's a nice balance between the two. And their Cluster system (core curriculum) is good.
