I have no words…makes me feel sick inside. Jackie Robinson’s Army career wiped from military website in DEI purge.

When I found out that Jackie Robinson had been removed from the website, I didn’t just “feel nauseous” like some less committed posters. I actually vomited. I don’t want to live in a country that does things like this.

This is part of a deliberate effort to denigrate people of color and cast doubt on their accomplishments by implying they were only attainable because some white person was pushed aside to make room for an unmerited minority. Despicable.

It doesn’t matter if it was temporary. It happened. And it helped me to feel again, very deeply.

White racists are trying hide black accomplishments. They are literally trying to erase history. I’m not a person of color, but I can only imagine how it would feel to be one in this horrible year. After Floyd, I thought things were changing for the better. I guess not. I’m going to watch Wakanda tonight with my partner and a large glass of wine.

Military website. About Jackie Robinson. And his military service.

The news article to which the OP links notes that the page was reinstated this afternoon.

So then it hasn't been wiped, has it?

Nope. Nor has any information about the Tuskegee Soldiers or the Enola Gay. They were taken out by mistake initially and then replaced. But sure, let's all "vomit" just to show our outrage.

There are many examples of images of POC being removed from government spaces. This is literally what you wanted.

They continually need to exaggerate and lie so they have something to get worked up about. THEn when the truth is pointed out they ignore it. I'm pretty sure that's the hallmark of a mental illness, but I can't think of which one.

No, there are not. And if they were mistakenly removed, they have been reinstated. But please do keep up the hysteria and hyperbole.

They wanted the headline of Trump erased Jackie Robinson.

Dems like sabotage. It’s a good weapon for the weak.

I am not an American but Jackie Robinson has a history in Montreal Canada, where I am from. We honour him.

What is going on with these troll posts on DCUM about the Dems recently, and trying to divide you.

stop lying yourself. This is very well documented. They’re only reinstating when public outcry looks too bad.

Sure. As if Musk's plan of break things then put back whatever someone fusses about isn't what we're seeing now...

I support the “weak” among us. They are our fellow community movers and family and friends. That’s called being a good person.

Please list the "many examples" from your claim, above.
