3. Hypothesizing between vaccines and autism is verboten enough that this is seen as worse than the other nominees who got through. |
Yeah, but the dirt must be really bad, like being found with a dead girl or live boy. |
RFK and Trump have done the same, haven't they? I mean if he'd come in very PRO vaccine I could see that getting him into trouble. |
You think that would matter at this point? |
They are less likely to be effective (not doctors, higher-level responsibility) and more conspicuous (harder to sink because people based their vote on them, no one did on Weldon). Weldon has been a villain to many public health advocates for a long time; I'm sure if he were extorting puppies or whatever, it would have come out by now |
I have faith we'll know one day but his anti-vax stance is not worse than RFK jr.'s |
So now we know. I am grateful the Trumpers pulled his nomination (even though it was just because they were going to lose the confirmation vote), and I'm surprised that Dave Weldon is considered a step too far, when RFK Jr. was confirmed.

Yes, but why didn’t he have the votes? |
Why? Trump and RFK Jr. both do that. |
