I’m busty (34i); size 6/8 clothing. Does this bathing suit look too much like bra/panties?

OP, Can we assume you are the same poster who posted about mismatched bikinis and the weird high neck binikis? We'd love to help you find a suit. If you need a lot of support your top will look somewhat bra-like, but keeping certain things in mind will help you not look like you're wearing underwear on a beach.

1. PP who suggested patterns will help was spot on. Also: Just don't with neon
2. Bikinis with hardware, ruffles, side ties or other embellishments will make it clear you are wearing a swimsuit
3. Only look at stores/ site where you can buy by cup size. Just don't bother with straight size swimwear.
4. Proper supportive swimwear sold by bra size is more expensive than you might expect. It's worth it.
5. Your bikini top should match your bottom
6. Co ordinating beach accessories (shoes, sarong, hat, sunglasses) will make your look cohesive

Some ideas below available in your size

Thank you for these. Any idea if the bravissmo is TTS?

Not sure about Bravissimo, but they have free returns. Sometimes it's best to just order multiple sizes right off the bat so you don't order one size and decide it fits 'well enough' since you don't want to deal with an exchange.

I was going to recommend Bravissimo too. I’m an A cup, so no experience and I’m not sure why I get sent their catalog, but their suits look cute! I do think it is hard to pull off a two piece if you are extremely busty though. It accentuates top heaviness.

This and one pieces lack support for large chests and make you look droopy or wide.

Yes.

Either find a bikini with a pattern like stripes, floral, or with some trim, metal etc. or mismatch the top and bottom.

+1 The little details make it look more “swimsuit” and less “underwear.” I think the one in the OP would look fine if it was in a nice tropical print.

It’s hard to find underwire, supportive swim tops for very large busts. The suits are not going to be as cute as they make them for B-C cups, and halter tops kill your neck if you have large breasts so those are out too. But think it’s more important to be comfortable and supported.

I like Freya or Panache for cup sized swimwear, though I’m not sure how large they go (I am a G cup). Tends to be pricey, but they use quality material and they last.

This is ugly and unflattering. It looks awful in all three of those photos.

Which brand is it?

Check out Pour Moi. They have lots of options in your size that are definitely not frumpy.
