I don't get it. Can't you folks in Highdollars territory go back to looking down on the rest of the county again? I understand 30 years ago, McLean was the "blue collar" school compared to Langley.

Yes, some of the housing stock in McLean is older. If someone wants to commute 15-30 minutes for a newer home or pay twice as much for a newer home, that's your decision. The schools are all very high-scoring on standardized tests and all very safe. A lot will depend on the makeup of your DC's classmates, their parents, and whether some alpha mom gets hold of that school's PTA in a given year or set of years.

Also not all McLean addresses feed into McLean schools. Does anyone know anything about Westgate elementary which is technically in Falls Church?
