I suspect longer term you will see ECNL player pathway further aligned with USL. MLSN might grow larger but talent will be more diluted. It's getting close now as many of the non-academy teams are not very good. ECNL will remain more attractive than MLSN for boys in certain markets. Not sure how this will impact girls but suspect ECNL will remain the better league for the near future. |
You keep pushing bad information I guess to support the narrative you like. The GA event this week is for Champions Cup clubs but it’s ALSO a showcase with plenty of non-champions cup teams. It’s also not GA’s biggest national event. The one in December was bigger with more than the 200 colleges that are at this one. Not saying GA is comparable to ENCL but the differences are less than many think and people should do the research. |

There sure are a lot of cycles wasted talking about the strength of the various youth leagues. If your kid is good, they will be found. NYFC just drafted a kid from Richmond who played for the Strikers and Davidson. Never playing higher that ECRL didn’t my seem to hold him back.

DD has been in both. Agree not a lot diferent for the top kids in GA. But the mid and bottom of GA teams are having a tough time with recruiting. Not so for ECNL. |
All a league can do is provide exposure. The rest is up to the player. Both ECNL and GA provide more than enough exposure. |
