CHET HANKS in a starring role, what?? And he’s actually good.

True. She was penny lane!

I’ve always found Kate looks relatable in a good way. Like she is very attractive and cute but you can actually believe she’s a character she’s playing. In bridewars, I bought her as a lawyer who was getting married. Unlike Reese Witherspoon, who I love, but sometimes when I look at her in a role, I’m like you are not believable as anything but a famous Hollywood actress.

And if she has had filler, it actually really fits with her character. She is playing a very rich lady in her 40s who would probably get filler LOL

It's so true! She LOOKS the part.

I had no idea who he was and thought oh, this guy is very good. Hard to believe this is Tom Hanks’s kid. He looks nothing like him.

I know this is absurd, but Isla is exactly the type of women who could be elected president. pretty but mature; reassuring and simpatico to men (the John Wick speech); but still a girls-girl.

He was good!

This is obviously a fluffy watch, but one reason it is watchable is that all the minor characters are good and have fun story lines.

Another vote for fun and mindless, nice eye candy. Marcus. Hot.

The first episode was sort of annoying. But Kate really steps into the role (as her face deflates) and is more believable. More How to Lose a Guy Kate.

Is that not Kamala Harris?

No - Kamala was “aggressive” and not charismatic enough.

She was not aggressive at all, certainly not more so than Isla's character. She was friendly and definitely charismatic, also an attractive rich lady from CA. Anyway, that did not work.

So my 10yo son is obsessed with basketball and he asked if we could watch this together because he thought it looked like it had something to interest us both - a strong woman boss plus basketball. We enjoyed it! Not as much as Ted Lasso which is a similar premise but done masterfully, but it was fun.

Oh, I had no idea! I agree he was really good in this, actually enjoyed his performance and the dimension he brought to the character. Surprising!

the "nepo crone" line was my favorite from the first episode

My favorite so far is when Kate is explaining why she has been engaged for six years.

Well, there was Covid, then my mom got a facelift…..then his mom got a facelift…
