Why do only children believe goblins and Santa, but adults believe in God?

Anonymous
OP because I want to. It's a free country so far anyway.

There is a myriad of high quality writing out there that answers your question. "Educate yourself."

I wish you would address my question directly, instead of calling me loathsome. I used to be a Christian, and such language does not seem Christian to me.

When you have to fly in the face of the headwind of facts and evidence, ad hominem is the only refuge.

This is a thread about people who believe in supernatural forces. Facts and evidence are off topic.

Why are you lumping God with the supernatural?

Interested in hearing from both believers and non-believers.

Maybe look at cultures outside of the U.S. and Western Europe? Hell, look at non-White cultures in the U.S. before you assume what everyone thinks is “silly” to believe.

Are you saying that there are non-white cultures in the US that believe goblins, Santa and fairies? If so, please tell me something about them - even where I can find more information.

OP you have limited knowledge and aren't even asking about spirits, for example. You just ask about critters from European cultures.

Huh? Are you trying to say that spirits are real because there are multiple cultures that have fairy/goblin type stories?

No. Just wondering why OP question is so limited.

Spirits are not trolls or goblins btw. Try asking Grok3 to help formulate better questions.

The same-OP questions would be more interesting if OP were smarter and more sophisticated.

How did the universe came to existence and what about our consciousness ?
Give me a better explanation than God and I will drop God.

Short answer:
Because with Santa—the adults are behind the scenes performing the magic and they all know it.

But with God, He’s the one performing the miracles and answering prayer.

and so far, only some people know that God is Santa for grown-ups, but in the case of God, he only sometimes performs miracles and answers prayers. When he doesn't, it's explained as "God's will."

Your lame answer.

I guess you have no logical answer.

Give me the scientific answer.
