Try to rehome very senior dog or ask vet to euthanize?

No one is going to offer to take a dog from a stranger on an anonymous message board--scammers are everywhere.

If you set the dog up with a good rescue, someone will want him.

The dog is 16 years old. No one wants him. Though perhaps she can find a generous rescue/foster that will stick him in a bedroom and let him live out his last days. Doesn't sound that great for the dog, but hey, maybe he is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow chap who will not get stressed by all of the tumult.

OP here. I still have him. Nobody is interested in taking him. I don’t think he’s going to be around in another year so we are hiding him in my apartment. I couldn’t bring myself to euthanize him after bathing him and watching fall asleep in the sink so for now he’s my little stowaway.
