Why is it important to worship?

The word "worship" is awkward in modern times, but traditional text. I try not to use it. I try to explain to my kids that words have many meanings, and context matters. In the context of our religion worship doesn't mean what most people assume it means. It's more of a joyous communion with all that is.

I think when you don't grow up in a religious tradition, you could hear the words of any given religious ceremony and interpret the linguistics through a literal, modern linguistic lens and come away thinking "what the heck?"
