Arlington Tech - how did your child like it??

At this age, the the big high school has cliques form and your kid may end up being left out, even with kids they've been friends with forever. However, when they are at different schools, it becomes a non-issue because the friends can still be their old selves with each other and not have to put on whatever high school persona they have developed.

To not scare OP, I will say that I have not seen the clique/exclusion thing at the big HS.

It is wonderful that you haven't seen or experienced it. Unfortunately, some others have seen and lived it.

Anyone know what number they are at now on the Tech waitlist? My kid got in and is hoping his friend whose original WL number was in the 90s will get in.

I posted above about how fantastic it is and how my kid loves it and that's all true. However, somebody posted about group projects and how at AT they might mess with grades. Well, that happened to my kid. There's the option of improving the grade but two of the 5 kids worked on the project. I'm currently coaching my kid through this but I'm a little ...disappointed how an A kid can turn into a D kid with a group project.
