I think she normally looks normal, but looked ill in this one because yes, her face was extremely bloated. It must be very tough to deal with a visible illness as an actress. Her performance was not as good either and I wonder if it was due to this as well.

The premise is just really bad. Any plot that makes the lead seem unhinged and unsympathetic tends to be a dud.

I also thought some of the casting was bad.

The Australian actress seems like Hollywood is trying to replace Rebel Wilson now that she’s lost weight and doesn’t fit the funny fat Australian friend mold.

This lady was painfully unfunny! I actually didn't like any of the casting except the BFF.

I liked it. Not as good as her others but definitely entertained me.

Trainwreck, I Feel Pretty, and Snatched (with Goldie Hawn) are better. And I absolutely loved Life and Beth but more for the poignancy and less for the humor.

That’s what I thought every time the Aussie accent lady came on - that they wrote it for Rebel who either turned it down or they cast it saying we want someone like Rebel.

I looked up writer as so much fell flat- for me summed up by the physical comedy bit where a toddler runs with a knife and stabs Amy in stomach when everyone thinks she is pregnant. Said Amy wrote with someone else. Almost every bit had me watching without laughs and pressing fast forward.

3 separate times Amy falls stomach first when people think she is pregnant and the comedy bit is “oh no.” Think bad SNL skit and your expectations will be set.
