Gator vs. Hoosier

IU! I was impressed with the kelley program. It is big but has a tight curriculum and seems very professionally managed. IU bloomington campus is very pretty and an hour from airport but shuttles run frequently. I know less about florida but heard florida has a lot of online classes, many kids at florida start summer before to get credits and to prep for fall rush. Great options, congrats!

UF without a doubt. Go Gators!

UF has mostly online classes at least the first year, so you have to be aware of that.

OP here. We are full pay. After receiving some merit from both IU & UF , the total OOS COA for IU is 15K/year more than UF. Does does change anything? Is IU worth the extra cost for their business school than UF?

C'mon now. Do you really have to ask?

Congrats on your kid being accepted to UF. That's quite an accomplishment.

You can look up the required courses online and search through the course catalog to see how many classes are 80-90% online if not exclusively online.

Yes, UF business school has not the best reputation because of its reliance on online classes. I would go with Indiana, given it’s better reputation/ranking.

lol. So many trolls on these boards

An auto admit to IU Kelly is a 30 ACT or an SAT score of 1370. Cumulative GPA of 3.8

That will not get you admitted into UF..

i have a kid at UF and a kid at UT honestly its merciful. These huge lectures are a complete waste to have to actually go to. Plus it has been a godsend as flu has ripped through the school this january.

Bingo we have a winner. The only poster(s) I think that keep repeating this on this forum (maybe it's only one) more than likely got rejected by UF. So, take it with a grain of salt like most of what you read here.

wow. being in person is good for kids. otherwise they're scrolling and watching tv or whatever.

We pay $$$$$ they should be in person.

My kid applied UF, got rejected, but I was somewhat relieved because I didn't think she'd do well with a lot of online coursework.

I posted earlier that I think Kelley is better but, no, unless your kid is really top and aiming for investment banking I don’t think the extra $15k is worth it.

If you aren’t a gator then you are gator bait.

Students love UF.
