My kids know how to behave online, and they aren’t online 24/7. They don’t have smartphones, but they can access the Internet and select social media apps. I’m sorry that those of us who actually do parent our children and spend time with them make you feel like disengaged trash for just handing your kids a smartphone, but that’s your problem. The vast majority of teens and tweens we know who are on TikTok and have free range on phone usage have divorced parents, so it’s likely a sop for feeling bad about broken homes.
