Ha, okay. Not OP but I'd rather be early and futz around than cut it close like that. Clearly you've never been in a nice lounge. They're key, especially on layovers for long international flights. Many of them have showers.


The number of actually nice lounges you can get into with Priority Pass or similar is very very slim. They very hardly ever have showers. They much more likely have lines, waits to get in, and very subpar food. Increasingly, airlines set aside their nicest lounges for only their own customers or only those flying business or first.

I have found Priority Pass lounge access in international airports to be superior to those in the U.S. So if you travel internally, I think PP is worth it.

I have both Chase Sapphire and Venture X. I find it worth it to have both (and I make sure to take advantage of all the perks/rewards etc. to offset the cost).
