What? No. The Ugg slippers that OP's son suggested are perfect. I'm aghast at your sexist suggestions. And I cook and bake. But these seem a lot like gifts for this woman to serve/perform for OP's son.


I am someone who loves to cook, and would love those as gifts from someone who knew me well, but unless they were a joint gift to me and my fiance, I would resent the implication from my MIL.

Ugg slippers are great. For years either directly or via my Dh I’ve given my mother-in-law a few ideas so she can still pick something that will surprise me and is in her price range (I do a range). These days it’s easier to have some gifts that she knows I love or that are inside jokes, etc.
