Last week his parents died a few days apart. Mom was alawyer. Dad was a doctor. |
I know they died. I just seem to remember them being in the news for…something - illness? crime victims? - a few years ago. Maybe I’m thinking of someone else. I misspoke about the professions. |

He can be annoying and tedious, and sometimes not funny, but sometimes he can be so incredibly hilarious that I am doubled over guffawing with laughter. His two sidekicks on his podcast also help shape the podcast for the better. Sometimes his questions to guests are really good and he can get into an interesting conversation with them. Overall, I give him a thumbs up.
And since we know he is so incredibly insecure and obsessed with what people think of him, I’m sure he will be reading this thread at some point. Hi, Conan! 😃 |
| His podcast sidekick is BEYOND ANNOYING. |
He's too old for Gen X. He's a late Boomer/Gen Jones. |
| I don’t find him at all funny, and has a very punchable face. Jimmy Fallon is no better though. |
So most of DCUM. |
| Well he went to Harvard so he's got one up on most of you and your offspring. |
| He grew up rough in Brookline per his show. |
| The best Simpsons seasons happened while he was on the writing team. |
| I find him very funny and likable. I loved his travel series. |
Sona is a good foil. But the other one, forgot his name, is often cringe. I like the podcast a lot. The long interview is a good medium for him. He has a fast agile mind that always makes for a good back and forth with guests. And it's always good for laughs. Among the celebrity podcasts, Conan's is the best I've heard. Can't stand Smartless. |
| Seems like a privileged and smug rich guy. |
Yes! Conan dresses as Santa and when he joins carolers in NJ are great too! |
| I don’t have an opinion, but I had to talk to his dad for work a long time ago and was sad when I heard his parents died. The dad, a doctor, was really nice. |
