Need a seafood recipe for crock pot

A file of beef roast would need to rest for at least 20 minutes which is plenty of time to roast or sauté the shrimp.

Best idea and most appropriate surf with turf may be crabcakes. Prepare in advance and broil in oven while beef is resting.

My neighbor made gumbo last year and it was delicious. She gave me the recipe but I have not tried it yet. I think that is you had the shrimp at the last minute to the crockpot it would be okay, since the shrimp is a small part of the whole recipe.
Here is the link to the recipe:

I thought about this too. But the logistics may be tricky for OP. The host may not have a pot big enough or a burner available for a huge pot (if OP brings her own). Plus that is super messy, especially if feeding a large group indoors. If it’s 8 people or fewer perhaps

Maybe get a large freshly made sushi platter

Does the host family have a grill? That opens up more options.

I also thought about crab cakes baked before go over and warm in crockpot. Other is seafood paella made before hand just served in crockpot.

OP asks for recipes, and in 3 pages of scolding, there are like 3. If you have nohing to contribute, you just shouldn't contribute. I don't want to be that a-hole, so a quick Google search shows:

I can’t think of any seafood that benefits from more than a quick cook. Maybe a fish stew or saltcod or pickled herring?

Lobster mac with a dishes of toasted panko for sprinkling on top for crunch and sliced chives and/or scallions

OP please report back on whatever happened with this stellar idea. We’re dying to know.

Bacon wrapped scallops. You can wrap them at home and sauté them quickly on the stove.
