| They don't care if an absence is excused. It still counts against their total. When you get to 9 absences, you'll get a fancy letter from CO about disciplinary actions. |

This means their is no such thing as an excused absence in MC since no matter if they were called in or not and what the reason is they are all treated the same. |

You are confusing excused absence vs chronic absenteeism. Excused absence is used to determine if you child should be allowed to make up work and could be used to determine if you the student was present enough to pass the class. Chronic Absenteeism is about the total number of absences a kid is accumulating, because excessive missed classed, even if for valid reason, still impacts a student’s ability to be successful in the course. |
