Neighbors’ fire pits during Maryland burn ban

OP already answered that she let it go. I would say talking to the neighbors directly depends on whether they are friendly or not. I don’t think people want confrontation and to have a bad neighbor relationship moving forward, which is why a lot of times it suggested you just do an anonymously through the proper authorities.

I think you should tell them. Honestly, I'd appreciate a heads up if I didn't know about the current situation rather than risk being the person so the other neighbors thinks is an inconsiderate jerk.

This is a good reminder to strike up friendly conversation with neighbors whenever you get a chance, so the very first time you talk to them doesn’t have to be an awkward conversation about possible rule violations.
