I’m in London every month for two weeks, it’s literally warmer than it is in DC typically even in the dead of February and I never have to deal with ice storms. It feels no darker than DC. It feels no more grey than DC.



How often are you in DC? Judging by that response, almost never.

The weather is not “the exact same” - no fair minded person would say that.

I actually think London is a good place to visit in January because there are so many great things to do inside. We were in London in August, and the British Museum was an absolute madhouse. I wish we were able to go off-season. We would have enjoyed it a lot more. We visited Berlin in February years ago because there were enough "inside" things to do to keep us busy for a week. Probably would have been a little nicer if the weather had been nice, but it still was a great trip.
