This is the most ridiculous complaint.

It's not a complaint, its a fact. I don't know any adults without kids who go to these games.

"I don't know any" is a ridiculous statement. It is the same as "I don't know anyone who voted for Trump/Harris." Just because you don't know anyone doesn't mean it is not happening.

There are certainly adults, without girls playing youth soccer, who go to these games. I've been to Power games and seen a decent enough amount of adults without kids at these games too.

Wtf is it with this board that everyone has to be "right" or "in the know?" Are there that many people in this region who are awful, miserable people?

Has the grumpy PP been to any games? It doesn't sound like it. I've attended many Spirit matches this year (with various family members who are all adults), including the friendly against Arsenal and every other home match after the Olympic break. As I think about who was sitting near us for these games, it totally ran the gamut but for every game, there were at least as many couples or groups of adults as families with children nearby. A large part of the row in front of us on Sunday was a group of what appeared to be couples in their 60s. All of the seats behind us were occupied by adults without kids as well as the seats to our left. It's not just families with girls who are fans.

Sounds like you don't attend the games. I see loads of people in my section without kids...A few have babies but they attended before they had the baby too.

We were there, too. I had such a good time! Probably my favorite game so far.

My wife and I and all of our childless friends are there every week. FYI I'm a girl too. When we cheer, we cheer for the SPIRIT!

The pump-up music was on point this time!

They got rid of DJ Lil Bacon Bear, who formerly played crazy music, that was not exactly fitting. Hiring an edgy club DJ was probably not a fitting idea to rock a stadium in previous games.
-A change for then better.... everyone was getting pumped up!

I am so looking forward to Saturday. I imagine the atmosphere will be different from last week because there are likely to be more Gotham fans in attendance. But regardless, I can't wait. Most of the Woso podcasters are writing the Spirit off but don't count them out. Despite the injuries, the squad gritted it out against a surging Bay, and having Kouassi back will be a big help.

And they got DJ Kool for halftime!

I can't make this Saturday's game, but that makes this DC native smile. Kudos to whoever on the marketing team made that happen.

Also, just to note: My son's whole travel soccer team went to the game... so it's not *just* girls' teams that they're successfully marketing to, which is awesome.

Confirmed, lots of people here without daughter's who play soccer, and without kids in general. That said, there are a lot of people who don't know soccer from billiards and are continually yapping about work, they love work, their hangovers and plans for later.
