Range Rover Sport or Land Rover Discovery?

Anonymous
We had a Land Rover (purchased brand new), and I would never buy it again. It was always in the shop with mechanical and electrical issues. It also routinely looked us out, and we would have to pull the manual key out of the key fob. Such a headache! If you're going to buy a Land Rover or a Range Rover used, definitely look at the service history to see how many times it was in the shop.

I'd ride a bike on 495 before owning one of those POS.

I’ve owned many range rovers, both sport and full size. The only problem I ever had was the very first model of sport needed a new gas tank because the automatic off didn’t work. Never keep them past warranty though.

Toyota Landcruiser, pre new version, is by far best SUV whether as a capable off road vehicle or grocery getter. They are hand made in Japan and have an expected life of 25 years.

What year do you consider “the new version”?

What kind of off road capabilities do you need?
