PP is exaggerating, but not off the mark. European women’s soccer is not like European men’s soccer in these terms. “Europe” as a brand is doing a heavy lift for a middling product. |
The top team in each league (UK/Spain/Italy/Germany) have 72% of all league wins. Chelsea 19-1-2 Barcelona 28-1-1 Roma 22-1-3 Bayern 19-3-0 It's not competitive. You want to live in Europe and get paid more in salary than the NWSL? Go for it. But there's a reason that big first wave are coming back now. |
lol go check out the NWSL table. Go check out the ACC women soccer table. Go check out the ENCL table. They all look the same. It is obvious you do not watch soccer or sports. |
Often wrong...never in doubt. Why wake up an post something you FEEL is true, without checking? There is so much parity in the NWSL is laughable you made that the point to rest your Europhilia on. NWSL is far and away the best overall women's soccer league in the world. Can you quibble about specific teams like the Dash? Sure. But league wise the football quality is significantly better. You can take any of the playoff teams from the NWSL and pit them against the best teams you listed above and have a competitive match. Bayern and Roma would probably have a tough time against the Houston Dash tbh. 2024 Orlando Pride 18-6-2 Washington Spirit 18-2-6 Gotham FC 17-5-4 KC Current 16-7-3 Portland Thorns 10-4-12 Bay FC 11-1-14 Chicago Red Stars 10-2-14 Racing Louisville 7-7-12 San Diego Wave 6-7-13 Utah Royals FC 7-4-15 Angel City FC 7-6-13 Seattle Reign FC 6-5-15 Houston Dash 26-5-5 2023 San Diego Wave FC 11-7-4 Portland Thorns 10-7-5 North Carolina Courage 9-7-6 Seattle Reign 9-8-5 Angel City FC 8-7-7 NJ/NY Gotham FC 8-7-7 Orlando Pride 10-11-1 Washington Spirit 7-6-9 Racing Louisville FC 6-7-9 Houston Dash 6-8-8 Kansas City Current 8-12-2 Chicago Red Stars 7-12-3 |
