Are we wearing pencil skirts?

Anything can be in fashion if it looks good on you[u][b], OP.

I’m long and lean and flat. Yes I’m still wearing pencil skirts and sheath dresses. Nothing else looks right on me.

I know it's in style, but they are just so horribly unflattering if you're not 5'10 and built like a model.

Op here - mine are all knee length. At 5’2 that everlane midi pencil skirt someone else posted will have me looking short and stumpy.

+1 I loathe midi length anything

I always wear pencil skirts because they look great on me. I'm 5'8" and slim. Wear what flatters your shape. A line skirts look terrible on me and I never wear them.

Get one with stretch or a slit in it.

I'm the PP who posted that skirt and I am surprised it looks good on me at 5'4". Something about the way the fabric drapes is very flattering.

This is giving me flash backs to a long midi pencil skkrt I had as a teen in the 80s. I think it maybe was gunne sax. It was mint green and almost ankle length and even though there was a slit I could barely walk in it. But it looked great! That was 50 pounds ago. I used to wear it with a lacy shirt and felt like a Gibson Girl.
