Testing for dyslexia before college

Agreed. As a parent with a 2E child who has clear dyslexia, it is pointless to give a test without accommodations.


OP here and this happened to my kid with the PSAT10. No accommodations and she scored 850. Her report had a red exclamation mark indicating “NOT ON TRACK FOR COLLEGE.” I never showed her the report, but it was hard not to feel anxiety as a parent. Why do schools think this is okay? How is this practice? At least it was validation for why we fought so hard for accommodations.

I will add that despite trying to get the score removed from her record, it still appears on Naviance. So while I didn’t show her the report, she’s hit with that score every time she opens her Naviance account, which is often during the college application process.
