Maybe burn that laptop and start over.

Don't do that without removing the lithium-ion battery first. Those things go up immediately and can't be extinguished, once ignited.

Never realized how dangerous those lithium batteries are until I went down that rabbit hole after hearing about EV fires and explosions. wow!

Final update: No bugs tonight! It looks like the bug bomb worked. I keep looking at my computer, thinking it’s full of dead bugs. But whatever, that’s better than being full of live bugs.

I always hear people a saying Macs have less bugs than Windows PCs. Not true I guess.

OP here with a weird update.

So it has been 10 days and I have not seen any bugs since. Still none coming out of my laptop. Until today when I found them going in and out of an electric outlet in my kitchen. What the heck? Pretty sure they are little ants and they seem to want to be around electricity? So strange.

Sounding like a SciFi story IRL. Perhaps they are nano-bots combined to form larger bots in the shape of insects...... Probably sent by Microsoft to revamp your software.

It was a Macbook. So, this is the work of a ghostly Steve Jobs.

DH did see a few bugs when he picked it up and he also thought they looked like ants and blamed it on the rain.

Rain? How would the rain cause this? Nothing I ever experienced and it wood freak me out. I’m itching now.

They are looking for warmth and getting ready to hole up for winter. Ants have different food cravings at different seasons. Poison them before they hole up.

Use Google Lens app to i.d. them.
