The only school that needs weapons on campus even less than J-R is... every other HS in DC.

Transfer him to virtual campus.

This was why my school district growing up had an alternative high school that was explicitly for kids with these sorts of issues. It has more intensive intervention programs (resident social workers, kids had to sign contracts regarding stuff like weapons and drugs, and the curriculum included intervention education to address issues around violence and criminality). It had some great and committed teachers. It was not perfectly successful but it did help many kids while also shifting the major behavioral issues out of the general population.


Those programs could work, as long as a Trayon White can't get his grubby fingers in there.

It is expulsion from all of DCPS. Also, the state superintendent is required to refer the matter to the police.

So the student will most likely land at a charter high school. There are a few alternative charter schools.
