Helpful resources for figuring out schools in the area

My cousin went to Roosevelt STAY at MacFarland HS in DC.

Seemed decent.

It is statistically silly to compare a city to a state.

It's more silly because Mississippi may have the best-run schools in the entire country, at least for poor kids. They've moved from last in the country by test scores to in striking distance of average, which you may not be impressed with, but you darn well should be, on account of the fact that the students themselves are still the same sort of students who are stuck living in a dirt-poor place like Mississippi.

Maybe the person working in the downtown office could ask future colleagues here where they live and where their kids go to school ? That likely will yield a broader perspective than DCUM.

DC’s local government is a complete and utter disaster. One of the city councilmen is under federal indictment. Others should be.

It is single-party rule around here.

Did you miss the part where I said I'm from Texas, that's nothing new

I should have been more clear and not mixed those two messages in one sentence.

Whether anyone believes single party rule is a problem is beside the point. DC’s local government is a disaster. That disaster will adversely affect you and your child if you unwisely choose to live inside the city.

Yeah, Texas is pretty much a disaster too. Did you forget about Uvalde? Santa Fe? Our great state being the leader in book banning? Most textbooks being what they are based on Texas's high demand, thus setting the standard, etc. We're pretty low in educational rankings. I went to school here, it's not great either. I understand what a dysfunctional place can be like, I was asking for helpful resources, but seems like you must be a product of the DC education you condemn since you can't seem to read and are only giving me unhelpful information.
