At least it doesn't matter for top schools, lower ranking for profit schools, probably it does.

Top schools have huge endowments and access to aid and grants. They don't care about full pay, just donors and there are many ways to spot them.

Our zip has cheap condos for $500k and mansions for $100 Million. How does an admission's office even parse the difference? Seems stupid.
